UPDATE. Mark’s intended first show of the year – at Come Together: The Hamburg Beatles Experience on March 29 – has been postponed because of the Coronavirus. It is hoped the festival will be rearranged for later in the year.
In autumn 2019, Mark Lewisohn presented a one-man stage show that played 25 dates touring British theatres.
Celebrating the golden anniversary of the Beatles’ Abbey Road album, HORNSEY ROAD was a 150 minute entertainment – a one-man lecture illustrated with audio and video and illuminated by Mark’s ad-libbed expertise.
The first time an album has been toured by a speaker, the shows were a great success – sold out theatres, enthralled audiences, standing ovations. But despite opening up a new medium, and the numerous enquiries he received, Mark has no plans to tour Hornsey Road in America, Australia or anywhere else – he has now returned his principal focus to working on the second volume of ALL THESE YEARS.
However, Mark will be presenting HORNSEY ROAD four more times during 2020. Watch this space for details in due course.
